I am Robert Patterson Joshuas father. A former racing driver wrote to me in an e-mail saying "Your boy has massive potential."
I am trying to raise extra funding so that he can compete in the British Super One series karting championship.
Being able to show how talented he is on the biggest stage in cadet karting would be a big step in his development, its just that we need some help to cross the line and I need the help in not failing my son.
Joshua won his first club championship in his novice year, in total he has four championship titles and two runners up trophies in Just over four years of karting.
He has raced against some of the best young drivers of this era with equipment that has no rightful place on the grid and has beaten them or kept them honest, he has silenced live commentators with his driving ability, turned bullies into friends and critics into fans by sheer force of character.
Joshua suffers from dyslexia and where he finds it hard to get his thoughts on paper his imagination and creativity allow him to express himself in other ways in all other areas of his life especially when he is in his go kart.
His teachers describe him as a little adult and very well spoken. Parents that have seen him develop as a racer have called him a Little Lewis, that is how he was described to me when the above racing driver first saw him out on track,"Just like Lewis," were his exact words.
How can you Help
The funding will help him join Global karting (invited) equip his kart with data logging, maintain his new engines and kart chassis and help toward his race entry fees and tyres for the British Super One Race Series.
