Drive Away Waste

Donation protected
Plastic pollution and single use plastic consumption is a far-reaching sustainability concern across the globe, negatively impacting public health and marine habitats.

Drive Away Waste is a zero waste initiative co-founded by marine researchers, Brady Clarke and Haley Plaas, aimed at reducing the amount of plastic entering our landfills and oceans annually.

Having studied the harmful impacts of marine plastic pollution firsthand, we believe it is our civil duty as scientists to share this knowledge with the greater good.

Through this initiative, we aim to lead workshop discussions exploring the plastic crisis on college campuses, at high school summer programs,  and during other collaborative events throughout the United States over the summer of 2019, all while living zero waste out of a renovated school bus home.

To host these educational workshops, we are seeking donations to fund the building our short school bus home, pay for our essentials on the journey, and purchase zero waste kits to provide to all workshop attendees.

There are 7 billion people on this planet who contributed to this problem, and by donating to our initiative, you could be one of the 7 billion to stop it. Help us bring zero waste living initiatives to hundreds of communities throughout the US.
