Choir Dress for Success

I'm Anjanette Navarro and I am the choir director and music teacher for Synergy Quantum Academy, a charter high school in South Los Angeles that serves inner city youth. The choir program has successfully grown from one choir to two over the last five years. Most of my students have never sung in a choir before they get to my classroom and they are always so excited to learn. However, the students need a confidence boost. As you can see in the photo, they look good in their uniform, but they look too casual compared to the other choirs that they see at festivals who are all wearing formal dresses and tuxes.

With your generous donations, I will be purchasing choir dresses and tuxes for my students. It really means a lot to both my students and me that they are able to dress the part. I know it will give them the confidence boost they need to perform just that much better.

Since I will need some time to measure my students for sizes and then send away for the dresses and tuxes, it would be helpful to have the funds by the end of November. Formal choir dresses and tuxes cost around $100 each. For my 50 choir students, that would mean $5,000. I am so appreciative for any amount that you might be able to contribute and I know my students are as well.
