For 14 years I've been working as a teacher in the U.S.,
Russia, and Japan, constantly drawing inspiration from my students, ages 5-72. All this time I had to move frequently for family reasons and I haven't lived in one place for more than 2 years.
New York is where I want to finally settle down and make my dream of opening a language school come true. Out of all places, NY is the best city for this to happen. So many cultures, so many languages, and even more aspirations. This school is going to be for those who want to study foreign languages. It will help them better understand their friends, co-workers, family members, appreciate the arts, and most importantly their culture.
I am asking for $10,000 to set up my language school and get if off the ground. The money will be used to register the business, pay rent, purchase course books, supplies, and educational technology equipment. Over the course of 14 years, I've designed my own curriculum and I can't wait to share it with my future students.
I had almost everything ready to open my school 5 years ago, but unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, I had to postpone the opening. This time I want to make it happen as soon as possible, welcoming my new students at my new school at the end of December. A new beginning for a New Year.
