Dream of a sick kid

Hello kind people of the internet. I’m writing this today to help somebody who’s been the closest person in my life for 11 years straight. We’re are both up there on the picture of this page and that’s what he looked like before the second time, he’s on the right. You’ll understand if you read the text. His name is Patrick, he’s now 17 years old and he’s been suffering from a non-stop coming cancer for the past 5 years. It all started out at the end of his last year of primary school. He kept on sleeping in class and throwing up. He got sent to the hospital where he stayed there for about 4 weeks. In that time limit, he passed an X-Ray and that’s where the dramatic stuff started to go dark. A tumor de size of a ping-pong ball was growing in the back of his head. At the time, he was 12 and after discovering the tumor, they sent him in an enormous hospital all alone. He stayed there for 8 hours, waiting for his parents, laying on a hospital bed far from home. He was diagnosed with a 4th degree cerebral tumor after sitting in a big machine for 1 hour and a half without moving an inch. The whole week following was pure pain all day long. He didn’t have a phone or anything to contact his friends/family. He went through 6 weeks of radiotherapy and 12 months of chemotherapy. At that time, dealing with the illness, school and social life was really hard for a kid. After all the chemotherapy and the hospital trips, he was fine for a long period of 3 years. At the time, he went to scans every year. In October 2017, for his yearly scan, he was diagnosed with the same thing 3 years ago. So here goes another 6 weeks of radiotherapy. Unfortunately, after these 6 weeks, it grew back again. The specialists over at the hospital took a look at his genetics. They found out that he had a syndrome called Li-Fraumeni. The syndrome is mostly described by an uncurable series of non-stop tumors that comes back over and over again. I’ll let you search it for more information. Here are some pictures of him down there.

The reason why I’m writing this today is to make his dream come true. My best friend wants to go to TwitchCon 2018. It will be in the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Canada. He watches a lot of streamers every day. By a lot, I mean a LOT. I want to cheer him up a bit and make his dream come true. Because of the chemotherapy, he can’t really work a lot. So his financial stage doesn’t make him So I need you most cheerful people out there help to make my best friend smile for the best weekend of his life. Thanks a lot to everyone who’s donated.
