Replacement Gear for Photographer Drago Tomianovic
The butterfly effect theory states that "Something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world." Well, on February 2nd, 2019, a few friends and I realized how true that statement is, and how a little change in one of our decisions could have affected a tragedy. As we left an event we attended, we noticed that a thief broke into Drago's car and stole most of the photography gear he collected over the past 10 years with a value of over $15,000. Although the amount of money involved in the incident exceeds $15,000, the police didn't do anything at all; they told him they were going to call him back, but as of today, we have not heard from them. This did not feel like it was just a loss of value, it felt more like an identity was stolen from him. As mentioned before, it took him about 10 years, he worked day and night to be able to afford all of his equipment, and this has become a major source of income for him. Those are some of the reasons why we decided to create this Fundraising campaign for him.
All the people that have met Drago can agree that he is one of the most passionate and talented photographers we've met in our lives. Drago is also very friendly, caring, and has given a lot for his friends and family. He should not go through this devastation alone, and with your support, he won't.
I believe that he should not give up on his dream due to such a tragic event, no matter how bad it seems to start all over again.
All funds collected will be forever appreciated no matter how big or small they are and feel free to share this campaign with other people.

La teoría del efecto mariposa afirma que "Algo tan pequeño como el aleteo de un ala de mariposa en última instancia, puede causar un tifón en medio mundo". El 2 de febrero de 2019, algunos amigos y yo nos dimos cuenta de cuán cierta es esa afirmación y cómo un pequeño cambio en una de nuestras decisiones podría haber afectado una tragedia. Cuando salimos de un evento al que asistimos, notamos que un ladrón irrumpió en el auto de Drago y se robó la mayoría de los equipos de fotografía que recolectó en los últimos 10 años con un valor de mas de $ 15,000. Aunque la cantidad de dinero involucrada en el incidente supera los $ 15,000, la policía no hizo nada en absoluto; Le dijeron que iban a devolverle la llamada, pero hasta hoy, no hemos tenido noticias de ellos. Esto no se sintio como si solo fuera una pérdida de valor monetario, sino más como una identidad robada y desechada. Como mencione anteriormente, a Drago le tomó 10 años de duro trabajó para poder pagar muchos de estos valores perdidos. La fotografía se a convertido en una fuente importante de ingresos para él.
Esas son algunas de las razones por las que decidimos crear esta campaña de Recaudación de fondos para él.
Todas las personas que conocen a Drago pueden estar de acuerdo con que es uno de los fotógrafos más apasionados y talentosos que hemos conocido en nuestras vidas. Drago es una persona muy amigable, cariñosa y ha dado mucho por sus amigos y familiares. No debe pasar por esta devastación solo, y con su apoyo, no lo hará.
Todos los fondos recaudados serán apreciados por siempre, sin importar cuán grandes o pequeños sean y siéntase libre de compartir esta campaña con otras personas.
