Create a Haven for Abandoned Dogs

Help me to help them

My name is Clare Roberts and I am an animal rescuer in Spain.

I didn’t set out to be, but when you are faced with the kinds of atrocities and wilful neglect that I (and many like me) encounter on a daily basis, it’s impossible to look the other way.

I came here to live a comfortable life in a nice house in the sunshine. Rescue quickly took over and now I live with my family of 34 beautiful dogs, all of whom were abandoned. Many of the dogs arrived in a terrible condition, others came with health problems. I took in oldies and I took in tiny babies.

I receive no funding of any kind to help these dogs except my own pension and the occasional kind donation from friends. I am now struggling to keep up with the costs of caring for them AND trying to create a safe, happy, fun environment for them to thrive.

The aim of this 'gofundme' project is to improve the grounds where my dogs live. I have already spent a small fortune on improvements, but further building work is impossible because the food, vet and everyday care bills are devouring my income.

The external fencing requires work to keep the dogs from escaping, and there are lots of areas that need proper flooring, lighting and water facilities, as you can see from the photos below:
