At approximatly 11 pm on Monday July 31st our friend and member of the Central Oregon motorcycle family was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident with an 18 wheeler in Redmond Oregon. Her left leg was completely severed on impact from the knee down along with multiple other traumatic injuries. Thanx to the quick and brave actions of those with her a tourniquet was applied and her life was saved.
She is in critical but stable conditon at the ICU unit. The first of several upcoming surgeries has been performed with success however she has a very long road to recovery ahead.
As you can imagine the medical bills are enormous and compounding daily. Denise and her husband Jim will both be out of work for the forseeable future and there will need to be modifications at their home for ease of access etc. and the list goes on and on.
On Tuesday, August 1st an outstanding group of people from all over the Central Oregon motorcycle community met up at Brother Speed MC's High Desert clubhouse and within a few hours had pooled together the $1,000 that this go fund me account is being started with. It is with high hopes that this seed money will continue to grow and help ease the financial strain the Campbell family is facing so they can focus on their love, healing & future.
We are all just one blink of an eye away from a terrible situation like this and in all my years I have yet to see any other community of people rally for a downed brother or sister like the motorcycle community can so let's keep this growing my friends.
