Down By The Creek Animal Sanctuary

My children and I volunteered for our first time at Down by the Creek companion animal sanctuary in Long Grove.  We instantly fell in love with the owner, Debbie, her misssion, as well as all the amazing animals that she cares for day in and day out.  

Down by the Creek is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteer hours as well as donations to keep caring for their beloved animals.  Their mission is to help prevent animal abuse and promote humane behavior toward all living things by rescuing and rehabilitating companion animals and telling their stories.  Debbie lives this mission and shares her love for these animals with the community. She offers outreach programs, educational workshops and pet therapy.  

All donations received will go directly to the care and feeding of the animals at Down by the Creek.   I was completely amazed by the time and effort that Debbie puts into making sure these animals have everything they need.  Dogs, rabbits, turtles, snakes, ferrets, chickens, a pig, a miniature horse...the list goes on and on!   After seeing first hand and giving our time to help, I feel compelled to do more.  Please consider giving a monetary donation to help Debbie care for these animals that she rescues.   Any amount helps!  The kids and I plan to continue volunteering to help and being able to raise money would be an added blessing for Debbie and her animals.
