Doug's Hands Across the Water Ride

Doug Downer flies to Thailand on 30 December 2017 to participate in the Hands Across the Water Northern Thai Bike Ride, raising funds for at risk children in Thailand.
This is an Australian and New Zealand chasity set up following the tsunami in 2004. The disaster was the world's deadliest tsunami, with over 230,000 people killed.
The charity provides food shelter, education, accommodation and opportunities for several hundred Thai children and their communities.
In supporty of the work of Hands Across the Water, Doug has committed to a fundraising bike ride this January, across Northern Thailand.
The ride starts in the city of Nong Khai in Thailand’s north-east, and follow the Mekong River for 7 days before heading west to Yasothon. The ride travels through villages and rural communities not often visited by foreigners.
Doug has committed to raising $10,000 for Hands Across the Water. He has so far raised over $6000 in the past month. A great effort, but he still needs to raise almost $4000 to reach his fundraising goal.
Please help Doug with his fundraising efforts. This is a huge personal committment both physically and mentally and your help will make a difference!
