Hi, I'm Dorota also known as Astro.
An incredibly amazing thing happened to me and I have been offered a place at Space Studies Program (SSP) 2016 (organised by International Space University)! This is such an exciting news that I feel as if I was to fly to the Moon and back.
This summer, for eightweeks, I'm going to learn about everything that makes taming and understanding of space possible - from engineering through humanities to laws. My primary focus of attention is human performance and human factors. I am a current Master student of Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology (at the University of East London) and I want to find out how, as a psychologist, I can contribute to space sciences, and also which aspects of space psychology I can bring back on Earth to enrich humans’ everyday existence.
This is a comprehensive, intensive and a very expensive summer school (tuition fees are €18000). I need your help to make my dreams come true!
I'm going to be grateful for any help big or small. To pay back for your generosity I'm going to publish regular blog about the social and scientific aspects of my educational adventure, and I'm going to make a short movie explaining the role that various disciplines play in space exploration.
I'm also looking forward to any opportunity of sharing my experience with wider audience by presenting educational talks in schools and at universities in order to encourage and inspire young people to learn about the beauty of surrounding us universe and to empower them to reach for the stars.
