The call goes to all 28 million Malaysian and 6 billion plus people worldwide. Imagine yourself on one afternoon walking into a place of worship with the intention none other than to be near and blessed by God. From the outside, the building looks like to have been haphazardly built. The zinc roof is supported by steel and concrete structures but not uniformly done. One can immediately form an opinion the extension jobs could have been done several times before without proper blue print.

Yes, that's absolutely true!

The main hall is quite small packed with people trying to squeeze themselves into the tiny air-conditioned area.

Nevertheless, the routines must be carried out on daily basis.

and numerous numbers of kuliyyah, tazkeerah , programs & activities has been conducted, flawless smooth - without fail. Alhamdulillah.
The main hall is rather big perhaps able to accommodate about 3,000 people.

At a glance, at least 4,000 people are already there. The spill over occupies every little space available around the building.

There are a lot of people around you all sitting quietly. Some of them are under the roof of the open sided hall but others sitting on concrete floors outside. They are without roof, taking the risk for exposing themselves directly under the blazing sun.
Everyone is waiting patiently for a call to prayer. The serenity of their faces - you know that all of them have full of hope that God is welcoming them to His home.
It is an old place but the keeper has obviously made a lot effort to keep the place well maintained. However no matter how much, signs of aging are quite obvious everywhere. Suddenly something struck you, why there are so many people here. There must something very special that people of all ages, from all walks of life congregate at this place every times the call to prayer blasting from the top of the roof. You feel very small among them in the present of God.
It is a hot Friday afternoon. A lot of fans attached to the roof but can do nothing to reduce the burning heat of tropical sun compounded by the zinc roof above. Despite of that everyone seems to be lost in their own world, praying, supplicating to God, asking for forgiveness. Beaded of sweat freely flowed down from almost everyone face. Some even has their shirt soaked in sweat. You are wondering why something has not been done to make this place more comfortable. This is 2013, but at that moment you feel time have been set back to maybe 1960.



The weather change suddenly. The rain cloud swiftly covered the sky with thunderclaps at times right above your head. The rain comes without warning, pouring all it might and completely change the surrounding. The people outside are trying desperately to get into the covered area. All are in vain and eventually everyone accepted the will of God. Their cloths are all wet and your heart goes to these poor souls. You keep wondering how they are going to go back to their office after this.

The situation inside the main hall is not much different either. The zinc roof littered with holes of all sizes. In your mind to solve the problem, the whole roof need to be replaced but the whole structure also need replacement as well. You don't think it's a wise thing to do. It might as well build a new building all together. Yes! The whole building needs to be replaced with a new one. There is just no other alternative at all.

This message is originated from KIAI an acronym to Kompleks Islam Al-I'tisam, translated into English as Al-I'tisam Islamic Complex. KIAI is a one-stop community centre comprises of place of worship, a school, community hall, library, hostels, recreational area, several commercial lots and kindergarden. KIAI is built to benefit approximately 20,000 people in its surrounding area.

The Selangor State Religious Council has approved the Project Fundraising Program. The project is managed by a committee formed by the Management Committee of Masjid Al-I'tisam with the blessing of Selangor State Islamic Religious Department.
The development will be in 2 main phases. (After several postpones) Phase 1 is scheduled to start in September 2012 at a cost of MYR 15.08 million, to buid Al-I'tisam Mosque's new building. The Fundraising Committee is in a quest to raise at least MYR 5.0 million throughout this year to make KIAI a reality. During this holy month of Ramadhan we hope able to raise at least MYR 500,000 to accomodate us with the next project stage.

March 2013 : A reform workforce was assigned to expedite progress..

Due to at least 70% fund (from total project cost) must be in hand in order to start the groundwork, the mosque technical committee have come up with a drastic solution; to start the mosque with an extension and renovation within MYR 8 mil cost. Which is approximately 2000 people can be in one time.
