On Sunday 14th October 2018, we lost our beloved mum, wife, nan, sister, auntie and friend Doreen Dawson.
After being diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in February 2018, our beautiful Doreen's health deteriorated over the course of the year. Her passing was sudden, unplanned and devastating to us all, since the majority of year 72 years were spent being fully fit and healthy.
As a family, we are trying, and will continue to try, to raise awareness of this debilitating disease, which receives limited funding and has a lack of knowledge throughout the medical profession.
5 million people worldwide suffer from IPF, despite there being no known cause or cure. We are determined to make a difference.
We have been inundated with requests to help us as a family, therefore we thought this would be a simple way for anyone to either publicly or privately donate to help us give our special angel the farewell she deserves.
Any donations we may receive will be shared with the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust to raise awareness and educate people on this disease.
