The Harvest for Humanity team has identified deserving women in Haiti to receive the first ever Women In Technology Educational Scholarships. These donations will provide them with the opportunity to reach their dreams.
Dominique was inspiring to me because of her big dream — becoming a successful global business and technology leader — and her determination to make this dream a reality. Her determination is selfless – as she wants to take everything she accomplishes through her hard work and pour her efforts into improving conditions for Haitian women.
Anybody who wants to own or manage an orphanage is truly special - it's God's work but is also thankless work, often encompassing vast emotional highs and lows. Dominique does not shy away from taking on the most difficult tasks as long as they improve her community's future. She is also taking charge of her own life, not letting the fact that circumstances are stacked against her stop her. She's on a transformational journey of self-improvement. Getting a business administration degree even in the relatively comfortable Western world takes dedication, not to mention doing so without the resources that many others take for granted.
