DOGS LIVES MATTER
Hello, my name is Nicole and my fiance is Billy. We have 7 kids between us both, and 3 grandkids. We own three dogs. Smoke is the dad, Sassy is the mom, and Bella is the puppy. Smokey we have had since he was 6 weeks old and now is 5 years old, Sassy we got when she was 1.5 years old and now is almost 4 and then they had bella together. She is 7 months old now. Our kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, sisters, other family, friends, and Billy and I love our dogs so much. We got alot of money invested in our dogs. They aint dogs actually, they are apart of the family. We keep them updated on shots and in good health. We take very good care of our dogs. Anybody that knows us, knows that we take care of our dogs and they mean the world to this family. Today was a very emotional, sad, devastating, and just simply hurtful day. The Marion Police department shot Smokey today. Our family dog that would not hurt a fly is suffering from not one but three gunshot wounds. He is not an aggressive dog. He may look mean but hes the biggest baby of them all. He didn't deserve this. He runs around and barks but has NEVER bit anyone and would not have today. We asked why our dog was shot and we got two different stories. He was in our yard not harming anybody. They shot him to decease him but hes fighting. Hes a fighter. Hes not ready to leave his family just as we aint ready to let him go. Its going to cost us between 2500 and 3000 to get him the care he needs. We obvisouly dont have that kind of money and plus spent 600 just going to our hometown vet and getting some answers, advice, and reccomendations. He was shot twice once in head, neck, and once in his back. So my question is, why did they have to shoot him three times. One time was enough and for what barking at you. He didnt harm you or anybody else and now hes the one hurt and fighting for his life. So to all that see this we are in need of help so we can care for our family member. Their lives matter to by all means. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and a blessing to this family because we need it and defintley dont want to sit and watch our dog suffer nor die. Please share this and we appreciate all donations. Keep us in your prayers even if you cant donate.
Dogs lives matter to. Please help if you can. It really, really means the world to us and we truly, truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. He matters just like anybody else. His life matters.
Smokey has had some drainage coming out of the right ear which he was shot right by his ear so we assumed it would drain but last night when i got home from work i noticed he was shaking his head alot more and walking with his head tilt to the side so i called the doctors in fort wayne and they said what color is discharge from ear and i replied it was a dark color like old blood the day before but when we went to try and wipe it out a little bit for him there was fresh bright red blood so she said he needs to be seen. Well our vet was closed so i asked if he would be okay over night and she said yes just take him in the am so today we went to vet and his primary vet looked in it and said hes got a bad ear infection so he put meds in it massaged the medication all around in the ear and took qtips and cleaned some of the yuck out if it. He got sent home on a medication that has to be administered twice daily in the ear. We are still trying to reach our goal amount because we want to be prepared for the risk and surgery if needed. We are a litrle over halfway there so please continue the donations and pray for our smokey and that we get justice for him. There is no reason any of us should of even had to spend this kind of money to begin with when the police department had other tatics and did not use them. We are praying we can win this battle. And repay all of you for your support and live and money you have given to help save our baby boy and keep him going in this life. He was not ready to go yet and that's why hes here today because even when he was stiff about gone he kept fighting. And without all of you again he would not of made it and be recieving the after care he needs. We wished he could of just healed with no complications or risks but unfortunately it doesnt happen in most cases epically with gunshot wounds. But we are blessed, forever greatful and we defintley appreciate each and every one of you. Once he gets better i would like to offer a tshirt or a post card of him to each and every one of you for helping us save this loving dog as a thank you and we want all of you recognized. Thank you so much and keep rhe prayers coming.
