Lily needs scar removal surgery!

                                    PLEASE HELP LILY!
Her self-esteem has taken a beating, she is depressed & cries over how her body looks. She doesn't want to wear shorts anymore or pretty dresses that show her limbs. At school she is picked on daily & stared at with disgust by students in the hallways. When she is out in public she gets weird looks from people & then I get hateful looks assuming I'm the one who hurt her. It breaks my heart seeing the way she is treated. Lily is a very remarkable, caring, funny & strong child, who is ALWAYS willing to help anyone in need.

                              NOW SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP!

On May 23rd my two girls decided to stay the night with my mom. The next morning my 7 year-old went downstairs and the half-pit male growled & barked at her. This surprised her because he had never shown any aggression to her; so she ran back upstairs. Lily went downstairs awhile later to shower & he acted fine towards her. She said hi to him & walked past the puppies to the bathroom. After her shower was done she went to the kitchen & when she walked by him he lunged at her. Lily started screaming for help then his sister decided to join in & focused on her right arm. An older dog later joined and tried to bite her neck, but only left a few scratches. The Pitbull’s ripped chunks out of Lily's arms & legs as she tried to escape them. The dogs knocked her down multiple times as she was trying to flee 50 feet to the staircase. She finally managed to run upstairs while the boy tore her calf open. No one heard her screaming in the big old Victorian house.
Lily went straight to surgery to repair what the doctors could & the dogs were put to sleep. An hour later, she came out of surgery with 4 drains; one in the left armpit, right arm bicep muscle, left mid-thigh & right calf. There were over 20 staples & multiple stitches. Luckily the older dog didn't bite hard around her neck so she only had a few scratches on her neck & face. She was released from the hospital after 3 days of trying to control her pain & bleeding. High dosage antibiotics were given to her until she broke out in a full body rash.
Every day for a month, we had to change her dressings while she screamed & cried. She lost weight & couldn't hold down her food. I had to lift her to help her go to the bathroom & she couldn't bathe or shower because the water hitting her skin made her scream in pain. She couldn't use her arms & she had to be taken care of like a baby. After 3 weeks, she went back to surgery to have the drains & staples removed. After a month the scars healed but the nerves didn't. It has been 5 months now and the entire underside of her right arm is numb & has nerve pains. Her armpit & legs still hurt her too. She has finally regained the use of her arms but still has trouble holding over 20 pounds in her right arm. Lily loves to draw but even holding a pencil causes her pain.
She has wanted to be a Zoologist since she was 3 years old & thankfully she is not afraid of animals although she is now weary of big dogs. In Zoo's during the summer shorts are a requirement. Unfortunately an employer may not see her in a positive way as a strong individual if they see the scars. Normally people assume she is a cutter or been abused as I have found out.
One day Lily was in class & a boy kept picking on her about her arm scars. He said she was a cutter & other things. She tried to ignore him but after he said "you must get beat at home" she told them she was attacked by 3 dogs. He still continued to belittle her in front of her classmates. After class she went to the principal & told him what the kid said. Before she could tell the principal how she got the scars he brushed her off & sent her to class. The boy was talked to but he still continues to bully her.
A few days later, Lily came home & told me the counselor called her in & asked her about the scars. I sent the counselor the email I sent all the teachers explaining her scars, showing pictures & letting them know bullying about them would NOT be tolerated. The counselor then told me the principal had concerns that Lily was being abused at home. By then I was MAD. All this would have been avoided if he would've  asked how she got the scars but he just assumed I did it because a boy said I did. I immediately sent an email to the principal with all the pics showing she is not a "cutter" & they are "not bruises". He said there "were concerns from students & teachers of abuse at home". (All of her teachers were aware at the beginning of the school year.) I told her plastic surgeon what happened at school & he said her scars can be reduced by laser but her Medicaid insurance won't pay for it since it’s considered cosmetic.

I am asking for help with getting her scars lightened so she cannot be made fun of at school. To regain her confidence by knowing there are people out there who want to help & care about her. I have tried my hardest to let her know people care & want to help but she now feels forgotten & ugly. She is a very beautiful girl and all that people see of her now are those hideous scars. I told her I started this in hopes of her getting help. Her demeanor & face brightened for a minute with excitement but then said "no one will probably donate".
PLEASE PROVE HER WRONG!

Over 2,000 people have visited this page. If everyone just donated $1, I would be able to schedule an appointment with a plastic surgeon this week! I will be posting updates & pictures when we start the process of removing the scars, just so everyone knows we are legit.

***Update***
WE DO NOT BLAME ANYONE! NOT EVEN THE DOGS! No animal can be completely trusted. They were well liked, loved & raised right! They were great with the kids & saw them many times a week. The boy at school hasn't bugged her since & trust me, she doesn't let it happen! I don't even blame the the boy. He doesn't know better. The media didn't tell the whole story & focused only on one tiny part.

God will use this for her good as He has promised in Romans 8:28. She knows & believes this & it has made her stronger.

I HAVE ONLY TOLD THIS STORY BECAUSE SHE NEEDS FINANCIAL HELP TO REMOVE SCARRING.

ANY AMOUNT IS A BLESSING & THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS! PLEASE SHARE :)
