The Breaks in You and I
We are watching TV and it happens. It drops. All inside of me. I do not love you. In fact, I think you repulse me a bit. You know what triggered it? You farted. Right in that good bit in Being John Malkovich. And I know it seems like a little thing, but it becomes this whole big metaphor for our relationship. You, my darling wife, are dispersing your shit molecules all over the good bits of my life.
Chloe sleeps spread out like a starfish every night. Her life is full of yoga, wine and definitely not missing Joanna. Joanna hasn’t changed her pants in ten days, because she can’t work out how to use the washing machine. Oh, and she’s starting to suspect Chloe’s controlling her mind. A grotesquely comic account of breaking up, amid fried chicken, conspiracy theories and a lot of alcohol.

Who? What? Why?
We are DogFaced Boy - a new theatre company dedicated to telling stories about women, by women, for everyone.
We are raising funds for our debut production The Breaks in You and I which is a heartbreaking, grotesque and hilarious account of two women breaking up.
In order to afford this we need £2000.
This might sound like a lot, but for a theatre production this is actually very cheap! Costs add up quickly.
Most of this money is going towards paying our cast & crew a fair wage. We believe it is important to pay our creatives for the time and talent they put into our projects.
We need:
£1650 to pay all our cast & crew a fair wage
£200 to pay for our set
£100 to pay for posters, flyers and business cards
£50 for transport costs
Our opening night is the 11th September, so we need the money by the 22nd August ready for rehearsals.
This money gives us the opportunity to start a new and exciting life at DogFaced Boy. It gives us the opportunity to tell a story where we put queer women front and centre. We hope this opportunity will allow us to tell more stories where we put marginalised women's voices front and centre stage.
Also our creative team will be very happy if they can pay their rent.
