Dog hit by car on St Joe River Drive

•••Update••• So I just received some bad news. I spoke with officer Judy at ACC and she said that the injuries were too extensive and the dog was in a lot of pain. Her back was apparently broken and she was not having a reflexive response on her hind legs. She had extensive bleeding from her head as we from her eyes and ears which they said probably meant that she had extensive internal head trauma. Ultimately they made the unfortunate decision to euthanize her. They have an angel fund that goes directly towards helping other animals that have been hurt but can be saves to allow for adoption in the future. Your donations will go there and the officer was extremely greatfilmfor all of your generosity and kindness. The owner was found and informed of the situation. Please keep him in your prayers.

l want to raise money to treat so the dog is not euthanized.

If anyone knows this dog please contact animal care and control. She ran in front of my car and was hurt pretty badly. Animal care and control said that if someone does not claim her that her injuries are probably too extensive and the local hospital will not treat unless you pay in advance. She was on St Joe rd about a block west of Concordia High School. Please share this before the night ends so that her owner might see her. She had a yellow collar with red dog biscuits on it I think. She was with another dog but it was too dark to get a description of it. On the unfortunate case the dog is not able to be treated I will donate the funds to the Animal Care and Control Angel Fund because they are the ones that trying to save the dog.. I originally stated that the funds would go to the aspca but the angel fund seems like the more appropriate place in this situation. I will update in the future.
