Emergency Surgery

Donation protected
When I was little there was a girl I looked up to more than anyone in this whole world. She took care of me while Mom worked, helped with my siblings, was the light and life of each party.

Fast forward to today, we are all grown with babies and what not. My cousin is still just as beautiful, just as lively, just as strong. The only difference now is she’s a mama with four kiddos and two of them are twins.

She is one of the hardest working people I know. She is one of the most beautiful and positive people I know. Her energy is contagious!

But right now she’s scared. Cancer runs heavily in the females in our family. My mother had cervical cancer and survived, her mother had colon cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer and survived, my great grandmother had breast cancer and unfortunately did not make it. I had a scare just last week.

So here’s what this fundraiser is about, because I know you’re wondering when I’ll cut to the chase....why am I asking for your money?

I am asking because when I see someone in need of help then I don’t just sit by and watch. I help. I know several others who are also proactive and want to help others, so this is for you and I hope you can find it in your heart to contribute even $1 to my cause.

She needs an emergency surgery. The doctors told us that she needed it last week, but she didn’t have the money to get it. Yes, that’s the world we live in. She couldn’t get the surgery because she couldn’t afford it.

But here’s the kicker.

If she DOESN’T get the surgery then she WILL need chemo and radiation within the next year. Possibly less; it's spreading that quickly. It’s inevitable.

She is in need of a total hysterectomy in addition to a large removal of damaged tissue.

The woman who gave birth to two premature twin boys, the woman who held her twin boys as they took their last breaths, the woman who has overcome more in her lifetime then some see in all their years, the woman who went onto have two other children AND then had another set of HEALTHY TWINS needs our help.

I will be damned if a little amount of money stands between her and this surgery. I’ll be damned if a little amount of money stands in the way of her seeing her children grow up. As a group we can help!

So... I’m asking for you to find it in your heart to donate just a little. Go without that coffee tomorrow or that Big Mac meal. Keep the receipt and write it off on next year’s taxes. Know that it went towards a mama getting to spend more years with her babies.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve come to realize it is that cancer is no joke. It is scary. It is viscous and unpredictable. It does not discriminate.

Thank you for reading and I thank you in advance for any amount you donate. We love her a lot and want to keep her around as long as possible.

We love you, Ginger!
