RALLY TOGETHER FOR TOMMY #Tips4Tommy

Saturday 12th August 2017 Tommy Birch’s life was needlessly changed in a split second, with a single cowardly punch to the head that he never even saw coming.

The traumatic head injury (fractured skull and bleeding on the brain) that Tommy received last Saturday evening in Ivanhoe NSW as the result of this cowardly one punch attack has left his family, friends and other in the Shearing Community in disbelief and shock. 

The devastating attack on Tommy took place at another venue after the finish of what was a very successful and enjoyable afternoon run by the Ivanhoe Quick Shear Committee. Tommy competed in the events that afternoon and managed to come third in Senior.

Tommy was airlifted out to Broken Hill that evening and was then transferred on to Royal Adelaide Hospital on Sunday where he remains in a stable condition at the time of writing this.  

Unfortunately, Tommy journey to recovery from now on will be one of the hardest roads he will travel and any funds we raise will hopefully make that journey a little easier for him and relive him of some of the financial strain not being able to work causes. 

The funds we raise will help with medical bills, rehabilitation, travel expenses, lost wages and day to day living for Tommy over the next months and months of recovery that he and his family have ahead of them.

This Go Fund Me Page has been started with the blessing of Tommy’s family who would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has shown Tommy, Tiana and the family their love and support during this terrible time. It truly has overwhelmed them all.

Tommy is an amazing caring young man dedicated to his profession as a shearer and he truly deserves our support during this time in his life.
