Hi, this is Kihyun Lee and I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
I am running this GoFundMe campaign in behalf of my Filipino friend who lost all of her possessions and her house due to the disastrous earthquake that recently struck on Davao of Philippine.
Her name is Jorna Kris Suarez and currently living in Bansalan, Davao del Sur.
She has been caring her parents and siblings because she was the only one that could get the job due to the nature of highest job competition in Philippine.
From my observation throughout several years of friendship, I can say she is one of most dedicated people that I've ever seen.
She is willing to do anything for her parent and her brother despite the unsustainable income that she makes (less than 200 dollar per month) and yet, she still finds a hope and a happiness from the saddest reality.
She often skipped her meals to save money and I was shocked when I noticed her eating dried fishes for lunch.
She was happy and strong girl that doesn't give up easily until the disastrous earthquake happened in her place on October 16th..
These are the picture of her house and her neighbors that are starving outside after the earthquake.
She normally doesn't ask for help and try to solve problems by her own but I felt seriousness for this case.
I personally do not know how much it will cost for the repairing but at this moment, any amount will be appreciated for her..
