Disabled Veteran in Need of Wheelchair Van

Donation protected
When I was 19, I was paralyzed. I was retired from the Navy and sent on my way. I had to learn to live again, as it is difficult after great tragedy to do so.

For the last six years, I have owned Mazda 5's. They are great cars for people living with disabilities to have autonomy and independence. I can put the wheelchair in, and I can drive. I can see the world.

While my beloved Mazda 5 was parked someone "practicing driving" crashed into it. The car was totaled.
This was devastating, but in a way a blessing. Over the years my shoulders have been putting up with a lot from me. They aren't as great as they were, and I was finding it difficult to solo in my Mazda.

Now, I will be getting a new wheelchair van. This will allow me to be more independent. It will allow me to go to doctor appointments by myself. It will allow me to go fishing. It will allow me to be more independent.

I am raising a small portion of the cost. I want piece of mind, so this additional money will help pay for roadside assistance and paratransit in case of breakdown. The remainder of any money will go for the purchase of the van. The Van will be a VMI converted Toyota Sienna.

Any amount will be a help. Thank you for your generosity.
