Diont'e's Dream

It is with A VERY, VERY HEAVY heart that I, (Angela Wilkerson)  even  my husband  Theartis Wilkerson and family need your PRAYERS through this difficult time. Our oldest daughter Diont'e was killed in a car accident On Christmas Eve-December 24th, in Lawrenceville Ga, Gwinnett county. We are Numb, speechless, and Overwhelmed at this very moment.

Our daughter was 34 years old, and she left behind 6 kids. Keismen is 16, Kevione is 14, Javoughn is 11, Jayden is 6, Jhamir is 5, and her only girl Zion is 9. They were her life!! Diont'e wanted so much for herself and the kids. Throughout her life, it seemed as if she just could not get it right in being able to provide for them all, so her dad and I took 4 of them and raised them full time for many years until this past April. She felt like it was time to raise all her kids together. Encouraging and also Reluctantly we were  still so proud she was going to try her best. She only worked part time, so we knew it would still be a struggle for her, and she worked nights, so that was also a hard decision  she had to make. Her heart was in the right place, she was just trying to match her  heart with her actions and decisions. Diont'e was a hard worker, and would give you whatever she had even when she had minimum herself.  Oh Gosh her smile would light up even the darkest room, and when she laughed, she laughed deep down from her gut.

At times it was hard for her to make decisions regarding the kids, but at the end of it all, she came through like a champ, knowing they had to be considered first. We know without a shadow of a doubt, if she had more to work with along the way, her means of life would have been maximized. She was most definitely model material, and went to a modeling school when she was younger, and I -along with others would tell her often that she should model. Oh how she liked hearing that. Focusing so much on the kids, I think she may have lost sight of what she now wanted out of life for herself, and chose to just live day by day catering to her kids. She always wanted better for them, and wanted them to be Much Better than her.

Now that Diont'e is no longer with us, We have to continue providing for the kids, now and for their futures. WE know what she wanted and expected for them. She made sure they did not go hungry, even though it was a rough road, and shelter which was touch and go sometimes too.  All of  the kids are in school, so they have to have school uniforms, nourishing meals, clothing, and haircuts for the boys, and styling aids for their sister,Zion.  Also we will need aid for their medical care, monies for cough medicines, doctors's appointments, and dental appointments- at least until we know  what government aid she was receiving, if any.   We're pretty sure they will participate in extracurricular activities at school also. This can get pretty costly!! We don't want any lack when it comes to their education, and want to set up an account or fund for college or to help them get a head start when they graduate high school.  This is just the beginning of our needs, but for now, we are just wanting to send her to heaven with LOVE!! These immediate funds will go toward her cremation, and other arrangements we have for her. We really appreciate God sending all his angels in to help us out. No amount too small either. Thank you and many blessings upon you.
