Dingo's Stomach Surgery

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I adopted Dingo in the summer of 2014 from Miami, Florida from Forgotten Dog Rescue. For those of you who don't know, Dingo underwent serious leg surgery as a puppy on both legs. Before I adopted him, he was hit by a car and had to get metal rods and pins in his legs. After hearing about his injuries and that he would need a home as he was healing, I volunteered to take him in. Dingo has a good life since then (with the exception of his small limp) and everyone who meets him falls in love with him because he is a sweetheart. Just this last week, I fell asleep and Dingo decided to get into some mischief in the middle of the night. I woke up to shreds of carpet everywhere and a huge chunk of carpet missing. Dingo began to get very sick the next following days and throwing up and having a lot of diahhrea. I thought maybe his stomach had gotten a little upset from it and we also recently changed his diet so I thought maybe that had contributed to it. It turns out, when I finally went to the vet after a few days of being sick- I found out that swallowing carpet can be very dangerous because it doesn't pass through like other things and can actually tear the intestines when trying to pass through. My family vet told me that the clock was ticking at this point and if I wanted him to have a good chance of surviving it, that I should bring him to the Valley Cottage Animal Hospital immediately. There they could do x-rays and preform emergency surgery if needed. It turns out, while reviewing the x- rays with the doctor, that his stomach was filled with stuff that seemed to not be able to pass through. They preformed emergency exploratory surgery to remove the things that had gotten stuck in his stomach. I'm posting this and fundraising because my dog has had a really hard life. This is his second major surgery and he is not even 3 years old yet. I would appreciate anyone that knows Dingo's story or even if you don't, and would like to help.. I could use all the help I could get towards this surgery. The money will be given directly towards his surgery preformed at Valley Cottage Animal Hospital. Just to let you guys know, anything helps- don't feel silly donating a dollar or two because every penny counts towards Dingo's recovery. Thank you so much if you took the time to read this. Dingo and I really appreciate your support. Thank you
