Dillon's Recovery Costs

My 25 year old son Dillon underwent open heart, triple bypass surgery to correct his condition called CTEPH - Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension. Essentially this disease causes blood clots to form in the lungs which puts extensive pressure on the heart. The surgery was successful in the removal of the clots, however since the diagnosis he has been out of work for 3 months and he will have a long recovery ahead. In addition to being away for the 3 weeks for the rehabilitation, he will be away from his young children who are being cared for by extended family.
