The Barbara & Lamar Paul House is home to four men with developmental disabilities. At 3:30am on October 15th the house was broken into and 'suspicous fires' were started in two of the rooms. Luckily, none of the men or caretakers were home at the time the fires were started. The caretaker's quarters and one of the resident's rooms were destroyed. It is going to be at least three months until the men are able to move back into their home. This was an act of crime that has left the DIGS community shocked and devastated. Funds will go towards repairing the home and replacing the items lost in the fire. Any excess funds will go towards building the second DIGS Home for women with developmental disabilities.
