First I would like to take the time to thank all who have prayed, sent cards, put my sis, mom and I  in a hotel for the night to be closer to Moffitt for an early morning appointment since it is an hour and half away and called to check on my sister and give words of encouragement on this long journey ahead of her. Another thank you to the lady who walked into Woody's BBQ in Lake Wales (my sisters place of employment) , who has never met my sister and gave her a 400.00 tip to help her either to buy one months use of a cooling cap  during chemo to help her not loose her hair (or to use it towards a wig if she could not come up with the rest of the 400.00 a month for each additional month of the cooling cap during her chemo treatments) or towards bills while she is out of work sick. Yes...there were many tears flowing at Woody's that day between the lady and the employees. We want to let everyone know that we are very thankful for all of your great acts of kindness. We know these are all blessings through God and are very thankful for each and everyone of you.
There are many of you that have followed my sisters updates since April 1st who are already aware of my sisters diagnosis of breast cancer and some of you who may be reading this for the first time. My sister Dianna who is a 37 year old single mom of 4 was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer.  She happen to be on a friend of hers facebook page who is also 37 fighting breast cancer as well, reading information she had posted about breast cancer which made Dianna think to check her own breast since they were the same age. When she examined herself, she happen to feel a hard non moveable lump on her left breast. She was of course as we all would be, scared to death that she had cancer as well. It wasn't until May 2nd, after many doctors visits, tests and lots of stress waiting on the results, that my sister would hear that she really did have this horrible disease. Knowing that she is the only parent that her kids have in their lives and depend on her, it was definitely devastating news. The good thing is my sisters will to live for her kids makes her a strong fighter. She is scared but ready to take this fight on so she can be there for her children. However, even though it sounds like great news that she caught it early and it is only a Stage 1, she unfortunately happens to have the type of cancer that is the fastest spreading and the highest risk of returning to the breasts and other areas of her body. Therefore my sister must have many weeks of radiation and chemo as well to make sure they kill any of the aggressive type cancer cells that may have already slightly started its way to spreading the cancer in her body. Many that know my sister and see her at Woody's knows she is a very hard worker who pretty much lives at her job working double shifts all the time to take care of her kids. With radiation and chemo treatments coming very soon, she will be missing a lot of work between traveling back and forth to Tampa 5 days a week for radiation treatments with chemo treatments on some of those days as well, along with days where she will most likely be too sick to go to work from the chemo treatments. As much as we hate to even post this and ask for help, she unfortunately has no other choice as this is going to be a big struggle for her health wise and financially. If you are unable to help financially we totally understand and would just like you to at least please keep my sister in your prayers during this time. Another very important message out of this whole post is no matter if you are a man (yes, men can get breast cancer too...we did not know this till now) or a women, older or younger as cancer does not discriminate, PLEASE remember to do a self examination, as putting it off could cost you your life!

*** Please share this post for my sis and thank you everyone in advance whether it be for any donation to help my sis or your thoughts and prayers for her during this difficult time.
