Diana's Wish

A dear colleague of mine Anita has recently received the worst possible news a mother should have to endure. This past Christmas, her 36 year old daughter Diana was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver cancer She has recently had her first round of Chemotherapy and as a result was admitted to hospital for a CT scan which unfortunately identified the cancer has spread to both her lungs. Diana’s condition is terminal. This has been devastating for Diana, her family, and friends.
In the next few weeks, she will begin another round of chemotherapy to attempt to prolong her life. Doctors have already told her that she will not be able to work during this time.
Diana is one of the kindest, strongest people I have ever known. Anita (her mom) has been a huge support in our store taking on store initiatives to help the homeless, volunteering her time to make sure she can help the store raise the most amount of funds. Putting others before herself comes as second nature.
It is time that we send some of that love and support back to Diana and Anita. Strong and independent, she has never asked for help. She now needs our help more than ever. Diana’s battle with cancer, will incur unforeseen medical expenses that are not covered. Paying for these will mean resources to cover other everyday necessities like rent, food, and everyday life will be reduced. They share a home, and both have minimum wage “type” jobs, as a result they rely on each other for day to day living expenses. Our focus is to help her stay afloat and comfortable during this time. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated!
Diana has also shared a single wish!!!!
Her wish has always been to go to Disneyland with her mother. Should there be any money remaining after her treatments, I would love to make her wish come true.
Providing her with help and surrounding her with love is the least we can do while they fight this. Please spread the word and thank you in advance for your help.
