DI Team Brainy Bananas Fundraising

This group of 5 hard-working, smart 5th grade girls from Lynnfield, MA have the honor of participating in the 2019 Destination Imagination Global Competition at the end of May. In Destination Imagination, teams of students compete in various categories that showcase STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Arts). Their team, The Brainy Bananas, were awarded 1st place in their grade level for their challenge at both the regional competition in Beverly as well as the state competition in Worcester. This qualified them to participate in the world competition to be held in Kansas City, MO where the top-scoring DI teams from across the United States and 15+ other countries will gather to showcase their innovative Challenge solutions. More than 17,000 people attend the event each year.

The girls worked hard to achieve this goal and consider it an honor to be able to compete against teams from around the globe. It is a great opportunity to participate in the multitude of workshops that will be available, that will allow them to continue to develop critical thinking and leadership skills and the opportunity to innovate.
 
This is an unforgettable experience but it is also costly. This wonderful group of excited and motivated students are using a combination of self-funding and a variety of fundraisers to help pay the costs. Any financial help you could provide us will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
