Levi Erskine (10 months) was caught in a horrific house fire in DeWitt township that left him in critical condition at U of M  PICU (pediatric intensive care unit). Levi has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his head, hands, and legs. He is struggling with his respitory system. He will need surgeries and skin grafts over the next few months. This money will go towards medical expenses and gas expenses to see him and make sure Jon (father of Levi) and family is always by his side. Jon is taking a temporary/permanet leave from work to be with his son who is at home and Levi who is in the hospital. This is going to cause a financial hardship upon their family.  Everything is greatly appreciated, no matter how big or how small, anything will help! Money will be transfered into a private bank account. Thank you all so much. There is also another GoFundMe for the other family that was involved in the fire who lived in the home, and Alix, they lost everything so please try to help them too! ANYTHING helps! https://www.gofundme.com/5zgsr2-help-this-family

I am so overwhelmed with the love and support that has been sent for my grandson Levi. He is such a fighter and with his battle being so uphill this little guy is a heavy weight champ. We will try to keep everyone updated on his progress, but it changes so quickly that he can be stable in the morning and with in a few hours critical again. I know he feels the prayers and support everyone is sending his way. Thank you again, all of you.... Teresa Erskine

"Morning updates day 7. Levi is still critical. They got him off the bp meds and have him on blood thinners but his foot is in bad shape. Still fighting pneumonia, and trying to reduce fluid in lungs. Prayers please.
Day 8 - Quiet night praise God! Levi is still very critical. The good news is around 10% of the skin in his foot has come back to life and is circulating blood. The docs believe he will need some form of amputation. I am claiming none. His vitals slightly improved over night. But his body is retaining fluids again. His leg is starting to get warm. They are increasing his diuretics to help him pee. I am praying for a quiet day with no complications or set backs and lots of improvements, in Jesus name AMEN!!!
Day 8 update 2 - Levis co2 levels are climbing due to the oscillating respirator. The problem is it affects all his areas of concern. The positive is just had meeting with 8 doctors covering all his different care needs and they have put together what sounds like a good plan to get him back on normal respirator. They will be doing a lot to him today but my prayer is still the same. God willing Levi will have a quiet day without problems or complications and will be in much better shape at the end of the day, AMEN!!!
Day 9 - Praise God. Good night for Levi. No backward progress and a little forward. They found his ankle pulse late last night. It's faint but there. This means he has some circulation in his foot. Now it's a watching game. They want to try him back on the normal respirator, just waiting for all his levels to reach there benchmarks, he's close. They started him on broad spectrum antibiotics so we have to watch his kidney levels for signs of damage. Keep the prayers coming, it's working!!!" -Robert Erskine

"Morning updates - Levi had a rough afternoon yesterday. They tried taking him off some of his meds and put him back on normal respirator. They found he has a bacterial lung infection. His right lung partially collapsed. They put in a new arterial line. Are treating lung infection with antibiotics. Increased bp, pain and diuretics meds. He is much better this am. They will slow down taking him off things till his lungs and infection are more" -Robert Erskine
