G.B. Transportation Services, S.A.R.L. is intended to be the major transportation carrier in Djibouti, Africa. It will consist of a fleet of 500 MACK Trucks designed specifically for the Horn of Africa environment and terrain. Djibouti Transportation Services and the Djibouti Travel Center fall under the umbrella of the G.B. Transportation Services, S.A.R.L. owned and operated by John Mahinis, George Baker, Bouh Idriss Omar Guelleh, and George M. Baker II.

Djibouti Travel Center is a start-up company whose management perceives a growing demand for commercial vehicle services within the East Africa area (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya). The company's management staff includes John Mahinis, who has extensive experience within the business industry, George Baker, who has provided Quality Management services to small companies for twenty years, Omar Guelleh, whose has been involved with the transportation and logistics business in Djibouti for over ten years, and George M. Baker II, who brings a vast knowledge of facility maintenance and operations. These four men will provide the business and logistical support for the business. It is Djibouti Travel Center's long-term goal to create multiple service centers within the East Africa area to service the Djibouti commercial traffic and create a brand awareness that transcends country borders.

Based on value of service, trucking (excluding warehousing and logistics) accounted for 70% to 80% of Djibouti commercial freight revenues in 2012. The reason for this large, percentage of revenue is due to the fact that all freight leaving the Port of Djibouti into the Horn of Africa, is transported by trucks going into the local market or transported to the surrounding countries.
