Sara and I volunteered as teachers in Zambia, Africa for the summer of 2017. We tought a range of children from 4 to 15 years old. They are the most amazing, grateful and happy children we've ever met. They had to share their pencils, erasers, notebooks and they had almost no toys, but they never complained or asked for anything; that is why we fell in love with them so quickly. After 4 months of teaching we realised that there was so much more we could do for them; for their education, happines and development as humans. That is why we have decided to build a school, a school that can offer a well rounded education, with music, art, and a garden, in which they will be taught how to utilise the lands and how to grow food which of course is extremly vital, not only for their knowledge but for their survival. We will have four classes, with three Zambian teachers, a playground and a toilet block. With the money we raise, we are going to be able to buy all the equipment we need to build and sustain the school, as well as provide each child with a uniform, a pencil case with a, pencil, color pencils, sharpener, eraser and everything they need. Also, the money will be able to help us accomodate volunteers that choose to come and help us build the school. This will also pay salary for three teachers for one year, so that we ensure that the school will be sustained.
The school will be located in Livingstone, a small town in the south of Zambia, where most of the children don't go to school because of lack of money, and lack of accessibility from so many locations.
We will really apreciate your donations as they will help us change the lives of 160 children and families.
We also welcome item donations, if you go on our website to our donations page you will be able to contact us about your item donations, we are looking for any school equimpent and any items that will benefit the children. If you donate a large quantity of items, we will put your name or company name on a plaque at the school, as well as sending you a detailed progress report.

Sara y yo, trabajamos como voluntarias en el verano del 2017. Le eseñabamos matemáticas, inglés, y ciencias a niños desde los 4 hasta los 15 años de edad. Son los niños más felices, amorosos, inteligentes y agradecidos que hemos conocido en la vida. tenían que compartir sus lapices, borradores, y cuadernos, además, casi no tenían jugetes, y nunca nos pideron más de lo que les ofreciamos y nunca se quejaban. Por eso nos enamoramos de ellos tan rápido. Después de cuatro meses en Zambia, nos fuimos con el sentimiento de que podríamos hacer mucho más por ellos; por su educación, su felicidad, y su desarrollo. Por eso decidimos construir un colegio que les permita desarrollar todo su potencial, con clases de música, arte y una huerta. En la huerta van a aprender como cultivar su propia comida, lo que beneficia su educación y supervivencia. Vamos a tener cuatro salones, tres profesoras de Zambia, un parque y baños.
Con el dinero que recojamos, vamos a poder compar todo lo que necesitamos para construir y sostener el colegio, y además darle a cada niño un uniforme, una cartucheraa con, un lápiz, un borrador, colores, y todolo que necesitan para aprender. Además de esto, el dienro va a permitirnos pagarle un salario a tres profesores en Zambia por un año, y para brindarle estadía a los voluntarios que decidan viajar a Zambia y ayudarnos a contruir y enseñar.
El colegio va a estar localizado en Livingstone, un pueblo pequeño en el sur de Zambia, donde la mayoría de los niños no van al colegio por falta de dinero o por difícil acceso a los colegios existentes.
