RALLY FOR RICHARD

**First and foremost, I want to thank anyone who takes time out of their day to show interest in my campaign.**
                                           *THANK YOU*

Hello, friends, family, and the people that are willing to help a person in need.

I was involved in a car accident, an accident I should not have come out alive. I was driving to work and in an attempt to avoid some debris in the road, I lost control of my car. Ended up crossing over the other side of the road where I slammed into ditch at 50mph and my car was thrown in the air and rolled several times before coming to a stop.

I was rushed to the hospital with severe back and neck pain. After several x-rays, and a MRI. They discovered two separate breaks in my back. The C7 vertebra in my Cervical spine, and the L1 vertebra in my Lumbar spine.
My financial situation has been a struggle to say the least. Im writing this campaign to be honest because I have exhausted my savings, and my parents have virtually drained their own.

Prior to my accident I was working for a production company in the testing department where we were the brains of the product, we were given tasks to complete building a new product for a customer and were responsible for basically getting the product prototype to the production line.  I am trained in fork lift operations, warehouse operations, manufacturing
and production all of which require lifting, standing or some kind of repetitive labor that the break in my lower back will not allow me to perform.

My automobile insurance covered a total of 10,000 dollars of medical and lost wages. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and after the 10,000 dollars covered by the insurance. Im left with 35,000 dollars in medical bills,  I've lost my place of living. And I am in desperate need of back surgery  Which is $40,000 (this is just the Dr. Fee). Ive not been able to return back to work because I'm unable to stand for long periods of time, I cant lift anything that requires bending over, and because of the pain I go days at a time unable to get out of bed.

I am only 30 years old. I cannot imagine having to live the rest of my life without being financially independent. Im desperate to get my life back on track. If I am
able to have this surgery it will allow me to get back to work, allow me to fix my financial situation, allow me to get back out on my own, and allow my parents to also return to their normal lives financially and emotionally. In a nut shell, the surgery is necessary for my overall health, I will go into more depth about the functions of the L 1 vertebra in an update.

Thank you again for reading my story, if your able, please donate. No donation is to small, everything adds up. Donations will be used 1st, my surgery so that is why my goal is set at the price of the surgery. If the donations exceed, it will be used to pay medical bills and help with getting an apartment.
