Help Derek Beat CLL

With the events of the past couple of weeks it has become more imperative to get some advanced options on my care in the future. My leukemia has become more aggressive and has started attacking my bones. The bills are piling up and getting to MD Anderson in Texas will be imperative. I am not one to normally ask for handouts, but some close friends in my leukemia community have urged me to set this up to help defray the costs asssociated with the travel and lodging and care in Texas. Any you could help with would much be appreciated.

update 7/12:

It now looks like I will have to back to Houston for a bone marrow transplant. I hate to ask for more donations as everyone has been so generous, but the lodging is going to be very expensive for 4 months. The lodging alone will be about $12,000. Then there’s other expenses related to travel out there, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated.
