Support for Steve Hyder

Our friend Steve Hyder is suffering from kidney disease, also known as end stage renal failure.  Steve has been waiting on the transplant list for two years - the average wait for a kidney is 3-5 years. He goes to dialysis three days a week, every week, from 10am-3pm.  This treatment does the work our kidneys ordinarily do – cleaning and filtering waste from your body.

This illness has forced Steve out from his lifelong career as a sports broadcaster. He is physically exhausted, especially after treatment, which makes it impossible to hold a full time job.  He is currently on disability and works a few hours a week to help pay for his basic needs.

We have started this Go Fund Me page for two reasons:

First to bring awareness for the need for more organ donors and,

Second to help Steve financially.

Steve has always been the guy who helps others, but unfortunately now he needs our help.
