Dementia Care for Mama Ina
Donation protected
First, it was a shuffle in her steps. Then it was her hands shaking as she brought a spoon to her mouth. As time progressed, Mama was diagnosed with Parkinson's, which she managed beautifully until recently, when dementia suddenly set in. Nothing can prepare a family for the life-changing impact dementia has on someone they love so dearly. Over the past few months, we have courageously faced the reality of her future - and our futures as well, as we do our best to surround her with love and care. Mama Ina has spent the entirety of her life loving people well....with her kind spirit, her service, her laughter, and her warm hugs that reach all the way in and linger there. As we plan for loving long term care, we have acquired short term needs that need met immediately, namely personal home care assistance not covered by insurance. We are reaching out to the community of friends and family that have been a part of her life, asking for contribution toward her care. Thank you so much for caring for the Mama that has cared so well for so many.
