Justice for (Lucky) Mighty Major

Donation protected
On Saturday evening, December 26, 2015, Major Lucky Seebold, the 2-year-old Boxer of the Seebold family of Mifflinburg, PA, was shot through the abdomen by an unknown person near the family home. Major's family includes Dustin, Andrea, Garett, Kinley, and Ashten (along with extended family that love him as well!)
Major was found nearly dead under the the family's front porch, when they started looking for him after he didn't return home that evening. My sister, Andrea, and her husband rushed him to the emergency vet right away. Major underwent surgery to save his life. He suffered severe abdominal wounds including severed intestines and bowel, punctured diaphragm, broken ribs, and major blood loss (liver and spleen were just missed). After surgery, the vets had to continue to take air off of his chest and decided to insert a chest tube to help regulate the air loss and breathing. The air on his chest causes his lungs to be unable to breath and expand on their own. He is currently in an animal hospital working on recovering. Doctors believe the suspect(s) used a bow and arrow/crossbow to shoot Major.
We are starting this fund for the Seebolds, in the event that anyone would like to offer their help with expenses incurred (which are heading toward the $10,000 mark) after this senseless act of animal cruelty. Something like this is completely unexpected and unplanned for, and for it to happen right after Christmas, makes it even worse. All donations will be put directly toward the recovery and veterinary expenses of Major Lucky Seebold.
