Declan Howa Support Fund

Declan Howa is 9 months old. This picture was taken when he was 1st admitted into the hospital - December 25th thru 31st with RSV and Pneumonia. On January 4th, Declan started having seizures and was admitted into the hospital in the ICU.  The Doctors then put him in a medically induced coma because his brain was swelling too much and this would help stop the seizures. He underwent several tests and the doctors still didn't have any answers. Then, on January 8th, the doctors took Declan off the pentobarbital so he could wake up from the induced coma that he was in for 4 DAYS!! It wasn't until 2 days later, January 10th, when he actually woke up. On that day - Declan's mom, Mariana, wrote "Today's been rough this morning we noticed some twitching they gave him some medicine that stopped them but now we are on plan b of further testing. They are keeping him somewhat sedated because he's still intubated. Hoping to get him off that soon but might not be until tomorrow." Since then, Declan has been heavily sedated, still having seizures, and the doctors STILL don't know what's causing it. His parents have been by Declan's side the whole time waiting for the doctors to get them answers. We are asking for donations to help cover the ongoing Medical expenses as they are a one income family and, as of today, Kevin is on FMLA without pay. They live more than an hour away from the hospital and take turns going back and forth every couple of days to spend time with their two older sons.
