Debutante Camryn '16 GMAC Cotillion

Donation protected
My name is Camryn Alicia Johnson. I am the proud daughter of Mr. Billy Johnson and Dr. Sherri Shelton-Johnson, and the younger sister of Sierra Johnson. This year, I am participating in The Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Incorporated Leadership Development Program and Cotillion.  For this Cotillion, I participate in monthly educational and cultural activities with 20 other girls and raise funds for scholarships for post-secondary education. In addition, a portion of the proceeds support the Jack and Jill of America Foundation and the many philanthropic and community service projects they fund throughout the country.

I am a Junior at Atlanta Girls’ School, where my favorite subjects are chemistry, world studies, and Spanish. At Atlanta Girls School, I am involved in many clubs; I co-lead the Spanish Club and serve as a mentor in our Chick Chat program for middle school students. I also have been a Social Chair in Upper School Student G overnment for the past 3 years. In addition to student-lead activities, I am on the Varsity volleyball, basketball, and track and field teams. In my free time, I love to cook, bake, read, and hang out with friends.

I am actively involved in community service at my school and in the community. At AGS, I co-lead the Service Club, where our mission is to engage students in volunteering for community service projects. In my community, I participate in numerous projects including Trinity Table, Angel Tree, Touching Hearts, Project Open-Hand, Books for Africa, March of Dimes, Backpack and School Supplies Drives, and various book and toy drives for the Andrew and Walter Young YMCA.  This year, I served on the Hands-on-Atlanta Youth Action council, where we planned and executed a service project benefiting victims of human trafficking. I have been a Girl Scout for 12 years, and have earned my Silver Award which focused on early childhood literacy titled “What Would Reading Do”. I participate in many other service and educational activities through Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where I have been a member of the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter for 5 years.

So, how can you help?

As you can see, I am very active, have high aspirations to attend college after graduating from high school and I need your help to make my dreams come true. It would be an honor to have you assist me in meeting my financial goal of raising $5,000.  I have established several scholarship donation levels for contributions and if you desire to support my Debutante Fundraising Campaign, you may select any one of the donation levels or contribute any other amount, all contributions are welcomed! If I am crowned Miss GMAC Jack & Jill Debutante 2016, I will receive 50% of my donations collected as an educational award.

Another way to help me reach my financial goal is to spread the word to your friends, family members, and colleagues.  If you are able, please share this website link to at least 10 or more people, and ask them to support me as well.

The Cotillion Ball is being held at the beautiful, Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta on December 17, 2016. Tickets are $100 each. If you would like to purchase tickets or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me for more information.

And one last thing, bookmark my site so that you can follow me on this journey throughout the year. I will have updates on my fundraising events, community service projects, and other fun activities.

Thank you for your support,

Sincerely,

Debutante Camryn Johnson
