Debbie Holmes

For those of you that may not know, my sister Debbie was in a serious car accident on January 14, 2020.

Debbie was hit by a vehicle at a high rate of speed on the front right corner of her car which caused the car to spin multiple times and airbags to deploy. Thankfully everyone involved in the accident is alive, however when the medics arrived on-site they needed to cut Debbie out of the totaled Toyota Matrix because of her injuries.

- Broken right femur in three spots
- Broken lower back
- Pelvic broken in two locations. 
- Broke all the bones in her right hand. (At least one was a compound fracture - when the bone breaks the skin)
- Broken right ulna (bone between elbow and pinkie)

UPDATE:
- She had a successful surgery on her femur, they inserted a rod into the bone and have multiple screws to hold it in place
- They inserted a long bolt that spans the width of her pelvis to pull the two sides together
- They were able to stabilize her hand, and in the next day or so are bringing in a hand specialist for surgery

The doctors are saying the recovery time is going to be about 5-6 months.  As many of you may recall, Debbie lost her husband Dan a few years back to a car accident, and while she has roommates, she is going to need support from her friends to make it through this tough and long road to recovery.

Funds will go towards supporting her in life while she is unable to work.
