Debate Team Competition Fund

Hi! We're the Debate team from an international high school in Stockholm, and we are the heads of a student-run debate club in our school. This photo is from when we went to the Swedish national debate competition. When we went to this competition last year, our school club won the best newcomers team, but this year we blew that out of the water by going 8 for 8 until the finals, where we lost with a split decision of 5 to 3. However, we placed first when counting the scores, which was a dream come true for us. We had never expected that we were going to be able to do so well at a national level, and we were all in a state of ecstasy during our trip home.

However, when we came back, our school informed us that they would not be able to fund any other travelling, which would mean the trip to the Swedish nationals would be the first and the last time for our team to be able to compete, since all of us are in our last year of high school. We don't have enough money between us to be able to go to any more competitions, which is why we beg anyone on this site to help us, so we can spend our last year doing what we love.

The trips we are aiming for is the international competition in Riga, Latvia, and the Nordic schools debating championship in Copenhagen. 

We are currently doing all we can to earn the money on our end, including searching for jobs, applying for scholarships and doing local bake sales, but we would appreciate any help that can be given.
