Deb Roemisch Fund -- Paget's disease of the breast
Donation protected
My wonderful wife, Debrah Roemisch, was recently diagnosed with Paget's disease of the breast. She has been receiving treatment for over a month, and just completed surgical removal of a portion of her right breast and some of the ducts. The treatment was scheduled quickly, and done on an emergency basis.
The treatment was not covered by our insurance. A recent company change resulted in insurance costs beyond our ability to pay, around $940 per month, so we took the only option we could afford, which will not cover outpatient surgery related costs.
The hospital estimates a "reduced rate" of $24000 for the cost of the surgery. This does not include any of her other treatment, tests, surgeons, etc. --just the hospital portion of the surgery. We are asking for $28000 in donations to cover most of the expense.
Please help Debrah return to her life of helping others.
Help her return to hiking with grand children, and great grand children, free of the stress of looming medical bills.
The bills are starting to come in now, so the quicker we are able to build funds, the easier we can negotiate rates with the hospitals, doctors, labs, and all the other medical professionals who helped us.
I thank you for any and all assistance you give us.
