In October 2015 I weighed nearly 20 stone and signed up for Slimming World. Between Monday 12th October 2015 and 13th June 2016 I proceeded to lose 7 and a half stone to take me down to my 12 stone target.
As a result of the weight loss in such a short time I have a significant amount of excess skin and the recommended corrective procedure is for a 'Tummy Tuck' although it has a more complex name than that.
I have been at target for more than 12 months and as such think the 'Tummy Tuck' can take place to give me a body without excess skin.
The surgery is booked for Thursday 14th December and will take roughly three hours. As such I need to raise the funds in order to pay the surgeons fees for the procedure.
The procedure will give me the sense of reward for my efforts in losing the weight and keeping it off for a year and will increase my self esteem as a result of my weight loss efforts.
I will embark upon a fundraising cause to try and raise the money to get the £8000 required for this procedure.
After the procedure is complete, I will have 3 night post op in hospital and will then be off work for 2-3 weeks, which I have scheduled over Christmas to minimise the disruption to my work.

Away from work I love to umpire cricket matches and enjoy being involved in darts, whether playing or organising. I have been urged by some friends to try to fund raise following my efforts to fundraise for charity where I did a Sky Dive and a Zip Wire.
