Dawn's Road to Recovery

On March 3, 2017, Dawn was rushed to the hospital with temporary blindness and paralysis on her left side. An MRI revealed that she suffered 2 strokes. A sonogram revealed a hole in her heart. She underwent a procedure where the doctors were able to capture images of her heart from the inside to prepare them for their operation that she will undergo in about a months time to close the hole. The doctor at Johns Hopkins who will be operating on her has been rated as the number 1 doctor in the country at this procedure. She will be moving any day now to a rehabilitation center so that she can begin to work on regaining the feeling and strength on her left side so that she can begin to walk on her own again.

Dawn has positively impacted so many people in her life. Whether it be her contagious smile, her genuine care and compassion for others or the way she makes you laugh.

We are asking those of you who know Dawn or feel connected to this tragedy in any way, to help support her in this time of need.
