My name is Rob Coffino, and I am trying to raise money to fund expenses for my kidney transplant. I am a 56 year old father of 2 beautiful children and a husband to a loving wife of 31 years. I have end stage kidney failure, and this transplant will save my life.
Upon hearing about my situation, I am blessed that one of my wife's best friends sister, Dawn immediately began testing to become my donor. Dawn said, " I want to see you walk your children down the aisle and live to experience the joy of having grandchildren one day". Dawn is a completely selfless person, with a heart of gold. She is sacrificing everything to help me and my family through this difficult time. I am incredibly blessed that she is in our lives.
After months of endless testing to determine compatability , I am so grateful to announce that as of 9am this morning, WE ARE A MATCH! We are scheduled for surgery at the Jackson Memorial/University of Miami Hospital on July 30th.
Dawn has to relocate to Florida from North Carolina where she currently teaches music to children. She will have to suspend her livelihood until she has a complete recovery. Unfortunately, I am on disability and the overall expenses will be overwhelming and for these reasons I am with a heavy heart, asking for help from our friends and family. To those of you who are able to donate I am extremely thankful. To those who cannot, I thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
