I want to introduce you to my wonderful brother-in-law, David, a loving Dad, adored brother, much loved son and overall awesome guy!
A month and a half ago, 1 week before he turned 40 - our beautiful, positive, loving Dave was coward punched in an uprovoked attack while out in Melbourne City - changing his and our lives completely.
He was in ICU for some time & suffered swelling to the brain, a huge gash to the back of his head, which required staples, 3 blood clots in his brain, short term memory loss and the list goes on.
He is now home but far from any normality. He has no partner & needs full time care while he recovers - which is going to be a lenthly process, involving rehabilitation for at least the next 6 months. He can't work as he has suffered major brain trauma & is still in constant pain.
Unfortunately the the bills still keep coming in though! He has responsibilities but can't fulfil any of them at the moment which is scary and sad and pressure he doesn't need at the moment.
Luckily he has his family and we will do as much as we can until he is better - in every way possible.
Any money raised will go towards caring for Dave, court fees, bills etc and we would all be eternally grateful for anything we receive.
