Fundraising to help David in his Battle with Osteosarcoma
David Robbins, a wonderful young man from Rockville Maryland, has been fighting a long battle with osteosarcoma. With lots of ups and downs, along the way, the medical bills are astronomical. This young man's Mom (Christiane Robbins) has been by his side for the entire ride, day and night. With David's mom being the sole family breadwinner (David's Dad died several years ago), the debt is mounting from the cost of the chemotherapy, surgeries, multiple hospital stays and other medical interventions.
A little about David
Throughout his battle with cancer over the last several years, David's spirit and bright smile has never dimmed. He has not let the cancer stop him from achieving his goals. David Robbins completed his Eagle scout rank (with Troop 264, in Olney Maryland) between periods of treatment. His Eagle project was the making of kits to assist other youth cancer patients. And while the cancer for a time prevented it, David came back to play basketball with his high school team. David graduated from Rockville High School with a degree from the Baccalaureate program. David and his family are also active in their church, Christ Church Parish in Kensington, Maryland.
He is a brave and amazing young man, who has not let this terrible disease get the best of him. David continues to add to his bucket list of things he wants to do and some of the funds collected will go towards making those things happen for David.
So please give what you can, whether it is $1 or $100. Every dollar will help pay a medical bill or fulfill a wish for David.
