David Volk Memorial Service

David Volk grew up in California graduated high school in Granite Bay and joined the U.S. Marine Corps.  He served in Iraq and received a purple heart when he was wounded from an I.E.D.  After Dave recovered from his injuries he pursued a career in the fire service and joined the South Placer Fire District.  He worked his way up to a full time Paramedic Firefighter, was assigned to a truck company and also was on the department's Arson Investigation Team.  Tragically, on July 13th, 2018 David Volk was killed in a motorcycle accident.  We are trying to raise money for funeral expenses and help pay for David's fellow marines to fly out from across the country and pay their respects on July 27th, should they need some financial support.  We anticipate approximately 400 people to attend his memorial and any money we could raise to help with the cost of travel expenses, accommodations, food and the service itself is greatly appreciated.
