On Friday 13, 2017 the life of David Shawn Weber and others has changed forever. While riding home from his full time job in Kannapolis NC . David was riding his Motorcycle, as he came upon a truck and small trailer on Hwy 3. Shortly after entering a passing zone in a curve in the road a witness said David peeked out to pass and a oncoming car was there. That is how this tragic accident happen. A witness contacted 911 and the first responders were at the horrific scene in minutes. Their rapid response and professionalism along with Gods Love gave David a chance of a new life. 
David is absolutely blessed he is still alive and has a chance to fulfill Gods purpose for him.
His injuries include:
Loss of limb ( left arm)
Axonal brain injury
Cracked L-3 vertebrae
Broken leg tibia & fibia
Broken foot
Broken shoulder blade
Broken pelvis
Dislocated elbow
Torn Knee tendons
Facial lacerations
The good news is David did not suffer brain stem damage, spinal cord damage or major brain swelling. At this writing David has undergone numerous surgeries to repair his broken body. At 7 days after the wreck David opened one eye, Now he has opened two as of 10-29-2017. He has not spoken but does seam to acknowledge the prescience of his visitors. We pray to God for his recovery everyday and every day brings a new baby step toward that goal. At this writing David is breathing on his own and under the care of the amazing staff at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte NC.
The family asks that if you cannot donate to his recovery fund please say a quiet prayer for his recovery. and share this posting. His recovery will be a very long process and require a lot of support and blessings.
All funds raised will go completely towards Davids recovery including a multitude of medical needs that wont be covered as well as a prosthetic arm in the future. The allocation of funds is being managed by his Grandmother.
