David King's Medical Fund

On March 18th, 2019, while on a weekend get-away to enjoy the super bloom in Paso Robles, CA, David King suffered a severe Ischemic Stroke on the right side.  David was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. Two surgeries were performed; first a craniectomy and later the brain tissue removal.  The stroke effected the left side of his body with paralysis in the left arm, hand and leg immobility. After spending weeks in the San Luis Obispo ICU, he has been transported to a rehab facility in Santa Cruz, CA. David has just recently regained the ability to open his eyes and communicate.  Doctors provide hope David might walk again with assistance but the road to recovery is long and uncertain. He will need intensive rehabilitation and long term care.

Over the years David King has spent his life inspiring the world with his love for every living being, the ocean and earth. Words can't really explain just how beautifully he moves the world and the extent that he touches peoples' hearts. An inspiring role model for everyone young and old, he has dedicated his life to touching souls and uniting others within his community. 

David has always preached, when you're sick, “get in the ocean”.
When you're  feeling down, "put your feet in the sand”.
Now our goal is to help David get back into the ocean and to put HIS feet back into the sand. We are asking that his friends (there are too many to individually list:) and family will help him receive the best treatments available so he can heal and once again do what he does best…..spread “Big D” love!
